A natural-born performer born in Austria, Ursula has been working as a dancer, model, and actress since her early teenage years. Shooting with some of the world’s biggest stars as well as winning awards for her talent, she knows that even though the industry is challenging and a lot depends on luck, she truly believes in the power of discipline, dedication, and willpower to achieve your goals. 

From Dancer to Award-Winning Actress

Extensively trained in dance, Ursula Maria is used to discipline. She was cast as the youngest member of a successful dance team at the age of 13, which has led to winning the Austrian championship as well as many performances all over the country. Shortly after, Ursula was signed by a dance and acting agency in Vienna and after working as a commercial model and actress while teaching dance and studying theater, she decided it was time to take the leap and move to Los Angeles to continue her education at the prestigious Stella Adler Academy of Acting. 

Represented by both an acting as well as a dance agency soon after arriving, she has been featured in short and feature films, pilots, and numerous commercials, winning awards including the award for best actress.

When we asked her why she chose a career in entertainment, she said: 

“I have been performing for as long as I can remember. I like to create. I like to immerse myself in a character and bring it to life. Studying at an acting academy for many years has helped me really understand the craft and coming from professional dance with lots of stage experience has helped me feel comfortable in front of the camera right away.” 

Ursula believes that you should bet on your strengths, on whatever makes you unique. “Everyone is unique. Why try to be like someone else who already exists. Maybe they’re looking for whatever you bring to the table! My uniqueness definitely comes from being a trained dancer as well as an actress and being fluent in German and English. I’ve also lived in many different places, done theater, musicals, films, pilots, commercials, shows and plenty of dance performances and I think that gives me a unique understanding of the craft. And I have booked roles because of that, plenty of times.”

Knowing that the industry is a tough one, she says: “Everyone knows that lot depends on luck. Being in the right place at the right time. Some people are very connected. That’s hard to compete with. It’s important to remember that everyone’s path is unique and to enjoy life while chasing one’s goals.

New movies are on the horizon, and when she isn’t busy filming, Ursula enjoys staying active, working out and modeling, as you can see on her social media profiles.
